Eat Sleep is the simplest way to track your baby’s eating, sleeping, and diaper habits. It’s designed so you don’t have to mess with timers, alarms, or typing. All the important stuff can be entered with a one-finger tap. View all eat/sleep/diaper events for each day, or view the combined history of any individual activity. As you continue using the app, you’ll be able to view trends from day to day, week to week, or month to month.

Unlike some apps, Eat Sleep isn’t overflowing with features you may not need. A real, working, first-time mom helped design the app so it’s simple and easy to use. Eat Sleep tracks the information your baby’s physician cares about most without being needlessly complicated.

Eat Sleep also includes a simple note-taking feature which allows you to track special events or routines. You can also now track multiple children.

FEATURES:

Eat – Track how long your baby was breastfed and which side. You can also track the amount of formula or pumped breast milk your baby consumed.

Sleep – Simple options and no calendars to mess with. Select when your baby finished sleeping and approximately how long—the app does the rest! Intuitive menus help jog your memory and let you enter blocks of time quickly.

Diaper – Keep tabs on diaper changes and whether diapers were wet, dirty or both. This is especially important for breastfeeding moms who need to know if their baby is eating enough!

BabySync - A paid feature that allows you to back up, share, and collaborate on your child with others!

Eat Sleep is free but does contains ads. You can simply remove these ads while also supporting the makers of this app through an in-app purchase on the settings screen.

Pros and cons of Eat Sleep: Simple Baby Tracking app for iPhone and iPad

Eat Sleep: Simple Baby Tracking app good for

This is exactly what I have been searching for easy to use and has everything you want to know
Easy to use and fills all my needs for tracking my breastfeedings are going well. Just a little drawback is having to remember the start time.
This app is AMAZING! So easy to use, really well thought out and useful!! I wish I find it earlier at the first day of my baby... Thanks a lot to who did this add you are awesome!
As a first time mom I love this app! Very simple and beautiful interface. Would have given 5 stars if there was a graph or way to show patterns
Best breast feeding app out there perfect for the tired mom who doesnt remember when the last feed or changing was also theres a note pad If they were to improve this app I would suggest they make everyday go into the calendar that way dr apts feeds and changes and everything can be seen all at once.
Decent app to track the basics. A feeding timer would be a helpful addition.

Some bad moments

This app seems great at first but I noticed it kept on fudging the length of sleep time. For example, the sleep tracker would say my baby slept until 2:34 but my phone time was 2:12. Very frustrating when Im trying to monitor how much sleep my little one is getting vs how much sleep he needs.
Would be much easier if you could press start when you begin feeding and stop when you are done feeding instead of having to try and remember and then estimate length of time. There are other apps with the start/stop feature that I would recommend instead of this app.
Silly design decisions: - Time picker: first, choose "After 4:00pm", then choose the time in five minute increments. No way to manually choose an accurate time. - Ive chosen milliliters (or "millileters",as the app reads) as the feeding volume and Im limited to selecting the volume in 7.5 mL increments. Want to select 20mL? You cant. - No way to track expressed milk, only pumped milk **eaten**.
Great simple app. Would give it 5 stars for feeding/diapering but Id like a "both" option under feeding so i wouldnt need to do two entries. Cant speak to the sleeping function.
I use it to track how many times my LO has done a dirty diaper. Easy app. Love it.
My wife and I downloaded this app to use with our first child. We liked how there was an option to sync between devices, so I could log her breastfeeds while she was figuring things out. The sync option cost an additional $4, which we paid for. I also paid the $1 to disable ads, since they were distracting and made the interface look bad. There were three problems with the app that made us abandon it on day 3, and to start using a new one. First, you can only enter a feed after it’s finished. You can’t click something to say when you start and then again when you stop. You have to memorize your start time, and then calculate the length of time you breastfed once you’re done. Granted, that’s not rocket science, but when you have a zero-day old child, when you’re sleep deprived, and when you’re spending all your intellectual resources trying to figure out how to breastfeed and get a snug swaddle, it’s too hard. We tried a work around where we basically created a fake feed when we started breastfeeding, then edited it after the fact to reflect the total time. But that was often more trouble than it was worth. Second, the way it counts breastfeeding sessions is wrong. It counts every entry as a feeding. So if you do 20 minutes on one breast, then 10 on the other, it will say you’ve done two feedings. But this is not what you want when you’re trying to see how many times you’ve fed per day. You want each session to count once, regardless of how many times you switch over. This is what pediatricians will ask you about, and this is more important when gauging if you’re feeding enough. Third, the app was incredibly slow to load. I had to wait about a solid minute before it would become responsive to any touch input. And if I switched apps, that countdown would begin again. Of note, this only happened to my version of the app, after I paid to remove the ads. My wife’s version seemed fine. Overall, the poor designs choices and slow performance made us give up very quickly. We’re now using another app that we like far better, and that still syncs.
